| SO WHAT'S THE DEAL |
The Group
- The group is an informal collection of people who are interested in outdoor activites. This is meant to provide a venue for people to exchange information and ideas. Anyone who decides to participate in outdoor activities does so on their own responsibility.
- Anyone is allowed to join in the discussions. We'd ask to limit the topics covered to those relating to outdoor adventuring and not to advertise gratuitously.
- There is no cost, but if you carpool with someone, pitch in some gas money. It's just courtesy. Same idea if soeone brings extra supplies of some sort to share with others.
The People
- The email-list is growing rapidly and even just through word of mouth, we have surpassed 130 people on the email list [That's probably out of date by now]. The people vary in ability from the curious about adventure racing to those who have competed in multiple expedition sized races [including someone who was in Eco-Challenge Fiji 2002].
- The idea is information sharing. There's plenty of experiences and challenges to be had by all, so don't fret at giving up your secrets.
Travelling in the outdoors does constitute risk that each participant takes on as his or her own responsibility. Please come prepared to any event. Neither the group nor the facilitators assumes any liability for your participation. In short, you are responsible for keeping yourself safe.
